The Bromelton industrial development area is destined to be Queensland's premier inland port distribution centre and it will underpin the growth in south east Queensland through the provision of integrated logistics and freight infrastructure.

It has been designed and planned in collaboration with Federal, State and Local Governments to ensure it has the capacity to meet the growing demands in freight movements and will provide significant employment with-in the Beaudesert region. It is identified as a State Development Area and recognized as a regionally significant employment area for South East Queensland.

All required State Government and Local Council development and structure plans have been approved, are in place and Federal, State and Local Governments have commenced works on the necessary surrounding infrastructure upgrades. The dual gauge rail line from the Port of Brisbane to Bromelton is now complete, Wyaralong Dam is finished in readiness to supply water to the project and Mount Lindesay Highway upgrade works are underway.

The two main development companies involved in the Bromelton project are Mirvac Industrial and Eureka Funds Management and between them they control over 800 hectares of land in the Bromelton industrial area. Both groups are committed for the long term development and growth and are well advanced with the various planning required for such a significant project.
The Bromelton Intermodal hub that will act as a strategic freight infrastructure between Sydney and Northern QLD is located 4 kilometres west of Beaudesert.

Projections are that this new industrial precinct will generate more than 3000 jobs by 2016, tripling to almost 10,000 jobs by 2031.
