Burpengary East is a suburb in the Moreton Bay Region of Queensland.

The Moreton Bay region is one of the fastest growing regions by population in Australia and will continue to be the third largest local government area by population in Australia behind Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

It has an estimated current resident population of 399,406 as at 30 June 2012 (ABS 2013) and has shown dramatic growth over the past decade, with the population estimated to exceed 530,000 by 2031.

North Harbour offers a unique residential development in the rapidly expanding northern corridor between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. North Harbour will encompass a residential community based around a proposed marina with direct access to Moreton Bay.

Only 36 minutes from the Brisbane CBD, 29 minutes from the Brisbane Airport, 45 minutes from the Port of Brisbane and 35 minutes from the Sunshine Coast.

Only a short trip to North Lakes and everything it offers by way of the majors. Costco on your doorstep (15 mins away), and the largest Bunnings in Qld.

Regional infrastructure

The Moreton Bay region is close to major export infrastructure in Brisbane, including ports and airports (domestic and international).

The region also offers:
~ good road infrastructure
~ diverse skilled labour, particularly in high-value occupational types such as manufacturing and professional services
~ large areas of available industrial land, such as at Brendale and Narangba industrial estates.
~ $105 million upgrade of the Boundary Road Interchange near Narangba.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Warren Truss said "The upgrade will boost the interchange's capacity and enhance safety for motorists who use this section of the highway. As an added bonus, pedestrians and cyclists will have improved access,"
Construction is set to start by mid-2016. The Palaszczuk Government is committed to improving the safety of Queensland's vast road network, creating jobs and building much needed infrastructure.
